This process is a critical opportunity to determine the district’s direction for the next 3-5 years, ensuring we align our priorities and resources to meet the needs of our students, families, and community.
What You Can Expect
Our planning meetings will involve reviewing the district's current state, discussing areas for improvement, and setting long-term goals. Your participation will help us gather the information needed to develop an initial draft of the strategic plan. We’re interested in hearing your thoughts on academics, student services, community engagement, and more.

Strategic Planning Meeting #1: Thursday, November 7, 2024
Time: 5:30-7:30 pm
Where: Fairmont School District 89 Cafeteria
Strategic Planning Meeting #2: Monday, November 25, 2024
Time: 5:30-8:30 pm
Where: Fairmont School District 89 Cafeteria
In these collaborative sessions, we’ll gather input from all stakeholders. Afterward, teachers will be consulted during staff meetings. A preliminary plan will be shared with all participants at the February Board Meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, and then we’ll finalize the plan for Board approval on March 19, 2025.
Your voice is essential in this process, and we look forward to the opportunity to work together to create a clear and actionable plan that supports the success of all students.
